Today Fanzo talks about a dangerous trend in NFTs. This problem is rooted in what’s beautiful about Web3 – complete transparency with creator royalties. These royalties have allowed artists and creators financial freedom and honored their contributions. There is no foolproof ways to enforce creator royalties at the contract level – with some exceptions. Opensea and Manifold have developed a method to enforce royalties on the Opensea marketplace, but are now feeling the pressure about this enforcement. Let’s be careful about how we choose to interact with these businesses – do we want to rebuild Web2? Or build a new Web3 future?
